Awards Policy
How the Best Journal of the Year awards are decided.
Eligibility
Journals listed in the Citeveriq directory with a valid certificate at the time of selection are eligible. Awards can be made overall or by subject.
Selection
Winners are chosen by Citeveriq reviewers from evaluation results, with particular weight on research ethics, editorial practice and transparency. Reviewers with a conflict of interest do not take part. The reasons for each award are published with it.
Awards cannot be bought
There is no fee to be considered for an award, and an award cannot be bought, sponsored or requested in exchange for any payment.
Use and withdrawal
Winners may announce their award with the year and category and a link to the awards page. An award may be withdrawn if its basis is later found to be false or the journal’s certificate is revoked.
